As someone who has spent countless hours playing traditional mainline pokemon games over the years, the idea of a browser-based fangame combining classic turn-based battles with a roguelite structure sounded a bit wild. But curiosity got the better of me during a quiet weekend evening, and I decided to open up the browser tab just to see what all the fuss was about. Within my very first few minutes of clicking through the pixelated menus and staring down a random wild encounter, I realized this wasn't just another generic clone.
