The Carlsberg Scholarship

Travel with approx. 25 globally selected young talents (m/f/d). With diverse backgrounds, all talents are ambitious, curious and aspire to make their mark on the world as next-generation responsible leaders.

On the Learning Journey, you and your peers build relationships, forming a life-long YGP Talent Network. You will learn from and inspire each other, engaging in mind opening experiences and daily facilitated reflections. On the 3-week Learning Journey, within our intuitive learning architecture, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Learn about the culture, history, opportunities and challenges of the region
  • Engage with local businesses and universities
  • Meet up with young elite entrepreneurs
  • Engage with youth from SOS Children’s Village
  • Learn about circular economy and emotional intelligence
  • Spend time with diverse young people from Tanzania and Zanzibar
  • Experience local art, music and customs
  • Go on a safari, spotting lions, elephants, hippos, zebras, etc.

Voraussetzungen

Young Global Pioneers connects young talents, who are ambitious and curious to find out how they can make their mark as the next-generation of responsible global leaders. To YGP, leadership and talent are also about striving to make a difference, and having the ambition to make it happen.

To be eligible for the Carlsberg Scholarship you must meet the following criteria:


  • 19-25 years old
  • Proficient English skills (B2 level or above)
  • Strong motivation to work and interact with different cultures combined with a high adaptability
  • International competency gained through experiences abroad
  • Experience in social projects is highly desirable


In Tanzania all activities, meals, domestic flights, accommodation and local guides are included in the scholarship. Additionally, the scholarships will cover international flight tickets, insurances, vaccinations, and visa.


How to apply?

The application period for this program is from 4 th February to 3rd  March 2019.

The final selection will be announced latest in the beginning of April 2019.
