Head of Corporate Communication (m/f/d)
This year we set up a fully-fledged corporate communications unit. We are looking for someone with an ability to identify topics and messages to strengthen our reputation or simply to tell high quality stories with us. In this role you will have the overall responsibility for all aspects of GFAs communication, including strategy, brand identity and design and ensure accurate and current presentation of our content on our website and channels. For this purpose you structure and share the workload with your team. You are driven by a genuine interest in acting for sustainability and international cooperation. You will be able to work in a multicultural environment with a wide range of stakeholders.
The Head of Corporate Communications reports directly to the management board.
Your Tasks
- Lead on all communication activities of the company.
- Work with the Management Team to further develop and implement GFA communication and marketing strategy
- Continuously improve existing activities and bed them into a coherent marketing and communication strategy
- Absorb demand and advise together with the Marketing Manager Communication needs of our technical business areas and our recruiting, including social media outreach
- Ensure the development of a content plan together with the Marketing Manager Communication
- Ensure brand identity and brand design for all promotional materials together with the Marketing Manager Design
- Lead and manage projects in communication and marketing within GFA
- Form and manage the corporate communications team (two further staff) and liaise with external contractors. Together the workload needs to be shouldered and structured along interests and abilities
- Review and report on activities, outreach and impact for continuous improvement and adaptation
Your profile
- Masters degree in journalism, marketing, communications or related field
- You have 5 - 8 years’ experience in a communications role, preferably at an international operating organization and with first experiences in management responsibility
- Experience in CI and brand development
- A broad understanding of international cooperation
- Proven experience in executing successful projects, events and multi-faceted communication campaigns
- Excellent communication skills in German, written and verbal. Full proficiency in written and spoken English (our working language), French is a plus.
- Strong management skills and proven capacity to organize effectively work of self and others
- Great interpersonal skills, highly motivated, proactive, good team player, calm under pressure
- Excellent time management skills, ability to work effectively on multiple work streams at once and deliver to agreed deadlines
