Then the role as Channel Marketing Director (m/f/d) for Carlsberg Germany could be the right job for you!

The key purpose of the position is the development and implementation of powerful, business driven channel marketing strategies, which will build our positions in the trade and support our ambitious growth agenda. This should happen in very close collaboration with the local sales and brand marketing teams and with our colleagues in Group Commercial in Copenhagen.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Lead the channel and shopper marketing strategy and execution for Carlsberg Germany’s brand portfolio in Off Trade as well as On Trade together with a team of 5 direct reports
  • Lead both the annual and monthly commercial planning process in close collaboration with brand marketing, key account and field sales
  • Lead category and value management with focus on continuous optimization of assortment, promotional activities and pricing strategy at channel and key customer level as well as defining field sales execution standards (picture of success)
  • Drive the development of strategies and executions based on pro-found consumer, shopper and customer insights. Together with insights department secure timely and cost-effective availability of relevant insights.
  • In close collaboration with all stakeholders develop the annual commercial plan material (Jahresgespräche) for key account and field sales and provide necessary support throughout the sell-in process
  • Actively manage and optimize deployment of channel marketing budget to increase spend effectiveness and return on investment
  • Be an active member of the marketing leadership team
  • Continuously develop channel marketing competencies, skills and tools in the channel marketing function


As a person you have the ability to lay out the plans and then turn them into reality. You are outgoing, energetic and result driven. You have a positive outlook, a winning attitude and a strong drive. You thrive in a busy and challenging environment and combine high level strategic thinking, operational understanding and a detailed focus on ensuring strong implementation.

  • FMCG background with +10yrs experience from commercial positions as well as a technical mastery of all elements of the marketing mix and a structured and systematic mind-set
  • Solid leadership and people management experience (5+yrs) as well as category management experience and working with key account management and with highly professional marketing services agencies
  • Proven track record of creating winning brand programs at point of purchase/point of consumption
  • Minimum Bachelor degree, ideally Master’s degree and fluency in German and English
